Privacy & Cookie Policy

We respect your privacy and handle your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the National Credit Act.

1. What we collect

• Application details: your name, ID number, address, phone numbers, email, employer or source of income and monthly income, and the amount you want to borrow.
• Documents: a copy of your ID, proof of address, bank statements and any other documents you upload.
• Loan records: decisions, amounts paid out, payments and balances.
• Login details: your email and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We can't see your password.

2. Why we use it

• To check your identity, assess your application and affordability, and decide whether to lend.
• To make, manage and collect your loan, and to contact you about it.
• To meet our legal duties, including under the National Credit Act and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act.

3. Who we share it with

• Registered credit bureaus, to check your credit record and, as the law requires, to report how your loan is repaid.
• The National Credit Regulator and other authorities, when the law requires it.
• Service providers who help us run this website and send emails (our hosting and email providers), only to provide those services.

We never sell your information.

4. How we protect it and how long we keep it

Your documents are stored privately and can only be opened by our staff when logged in, and by you in your client portal. We keep application and loan records for as long as the law requires (generally 5 years after your last loan ends), then delete them. Declined applications are kept only as long as needed for the law.

5. Your rights

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it. Contact our information officer, [name – to confirm], on 063 972 7256. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

6. Cookies

We use one essential cookie, only when you log in, to keep you logged in (it ends after 12 hours). We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
